About Friends of Stowmarket Lions
We recognise that people lead busy lives with multiple demands on their time including work and family commitments. These time demands mean people may be hesitant in committing to full membership of our club but there’s another way to help.
We are introducing the Friends of Stowmarket Lions to enable people to help our local community when and where they can.
How can the Friends of Stowmarket Lions help?
Friends of Stowmarket Lions can help in many ways.
It could be by supporting one of our events by buying or selling event tickets. For example gathering a group of your own friends or colleagues for a table at our boxing event in March.
Or perhaps you could sponsor an event such as our bike ride. The more of our event costs we can cover with sponsorship the more we raise to help those in need in our local community.
It could be that you would like to join us by helping at one of our events. Our Santa Sleigh is a great example where groups and individuals already walk with us collecting and spreading festive cheer around Stowmarket and surrounding villages.
What would be expected of a Friend?
All we ask is that you look to help when and where you can. With your agreement we will include you on our regular activities updates which will typically be shared by email. We will update you on forthcoming events as well as funds raised at previous events.
