For several years Stowmarket Lions have help provide collectors for Marie Curie as part of a national partnership.

This year the Lions Club of Stowmarket and District has helped out Marie Curie again by providing collectors for the charity

On Friday March 24th and Saturday 25th we were able to standing around the town of Stowmarket and collect money from the generous public.  Last year we were able to collect over £1,100 for this excellent cause.  Everything collected goes straight to the charity to help nurses provide the support for families in need.

• Sunday 19th December – Needham Market North – Sleigh 16:30-18:30 (Hurstlea to Quinton road and the causeway)
• Monday 20th December – Needham Market South – Sleigh 18:00-19:30 (Chainhouse road to foxglove ave & Pinecroft way)
• Wednesday 22nd December – Stowupland Sleigh 18:00 -20:00
• Friday 24th December – ASDA – 09:00 -15:00

What a fantastic way to spend a Sunday walking around the Recreation Ground.

Many thanks to those Lions who put on their walking shoes on Sunday 26th September. A total of about 26 Kilometres was achieved which is about about 15 miles. For those of you who have maybe not sponsored anybody, you could make a donation through this site.
